📍Kedai Runcit Yee Bee, Chuah, Negeri Sembilan
Chuah, once a bustling hub of activity, has witnessed significant changes over the years. Today, only a handful of shophouses remain, and among them stands the enduring Kedai Runcit Yee Bee. The store's now managed by the third generation, but it faces the challenges brought by the rise of large supermarket chains.
“ The fond memories of the past come alive as I recall visiting my grandpa's shop. His small gestures, like sharing candies or giving me pennies for ice cream from the neighbouring store, created precious moments that we enjoyed together while seated on the bench right in front of our shop. ”
As time moves forward, I'm grateful for the opportunity to preserve this heartwarming story as a cherished record for their family. It holds a special place in the family's heart, and the motivation that each person behind my artworks provides is a source of inspiration.
