PicoWorm, a name formed from "pico" - a tiny metric unit, and "worm" from bookworm, symbolises the passion for dedicating time to crafting small wonders. It also incorporates the initials of the artist's name, P.W.
- Creator: Pui Wan Lim Based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia Pui Wan, also known as PicoWorm, is specializing in miniature diorama that evokes nostalgia. Pui Wan's passion for miniature is originated by her desire to preserve memories. She believes that miniatures offer a unique way to touch and see tangible works of cherished moments. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Pui Wan initially struggled to find fulfilment in her profession and decided to pursue her lifelong passion for miniature art. As a self-taught artist, Pui Wan's journey has spanned more than 10 years. Her artworks have been recognised beyond the art community, and she was fortunate to share her expertise with actor Ryan Reynolds on his Snapchat series, "Ryan Doesn't Know" in 2021. She pays close attention to realism and focuses on capturing retro Malaysian lifestyles, such as traditional barbershop, kopitiam and provision shop that many resonate with.
