PicoWorm, a name formed from "pico" - a tiny metric unit, and "worm" from bookworm, symbolises the deep passion for dedicating time to crafting small wonders. It also cleverly incorporates the initials of the artist's name, P.W. - Creator: Pui Wan Lim Based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia Pui Wan, also known as PicoWorm, is specializing in miniature diorama that evokes nostalgia. Lim's passion for miniature is originated by her desire to preserve memories. She believes that miniatures offer a unique way to touch and see tangible representations of cherished moments. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Lim initially struggled to find fulfillment in her profession and decided to pursue her lifelong passion for miniature art. As a self-taught artist, Lim's journey has been one of exploration and growth. With over 10 years of experience, her intricate artworks have gained recognition beyond the art community, as she shared her expertise with actor Ryan Reynolds on his Snapchat series, "Ryan Doesn't Know." Through her collaborations and exhibitions, Lim continues to captivate audiences with her ability to translate personal memories into miniature artworks. She pays close attention to realism and focuses on capturing retro Malaysian lifestyles, including traditional barbershops, kopitiam and nostalgic provisions shops.
